Todavia no tengo ninguna idea de que podria ser.. quizas otro animal?.. pero la forma cuadrada no encaja en un diseño animal.. dejemos que los dias y patrones corran y al final lo sabremos!!

And to begin my 3rd 25 motif challenge, I showed these tree crosses bookmarks that I have tatted.

The 2nd and the 3rd crosses are patterns from the Book Tatted Bookmarks by Lene Bjorn . The first one is called Maria and was tatted with Dmc perle cotton thread 8, in white and the last one Camilla with Clea cotton variegated thread, from Brasil.

Para comenzar el año nuevo en mi blog, les muestro el primer TIAS en el cual participo. Para las que no conocen este proyecto, las siglas TIAS quiere decir TAT IT AND SEE, TEJER Y VER en español. Es llevado a cabo por Jane Eborall en su blog http://tatitandsee.blogspot.com/. Alli ella coloca un patron pero por partes. Lo divertido es ir tejiendo pero no saber que es hasta que llega la ultima parte del diseño .

Las invito a participar y si tienen algun problema con el ingles, las puedo ayudar con todo gusto..

My winter exchange arrives!!!

Estoy muy contenta porque hoy fui a retirar del correo mi intercambio navideño , organizado por el grupo Intatters. Mi pareja resulto ser Anne Bruvold ,de noruega. Fue una agradable sorpresa ver los copos de nieve tejidos por ella, tan prolijos y delicados en el color y por supuesto ver a Netty el triton!! un diseño propio de ella. Tambien venia acompañado de una preciosa carta y un patron de un gatito que pronto estare tejiendo. El bolsito azul es lindisimo y esta tejido con la tecnica de frivolite pero el hilo esta hecho con tiras de tela tipo lycra. muy original!! Y el hilo es una preciosura, en mi color favorito, lila!. Asi que gracias de nuevo Anne!!

Im so happy because today I go to the post office to get my winter exchange, organized by Intatters. My partner this time was Anne Bruvold, from Norway. It was a nice suprise to see all the snowfles tatted by her , so neat and in delicate colours. and of course , between them was.. Netty , the newt!! her own design. It also came with a beautiful letter and a pattern for a tatted cat, that I will be tatting soon.

The blue bucket is realy nice and it was tatted using a thread made of leftover of cloth production. And the thread is beautiful, in lilac, my favourite colour!. So thanks again Anne!!

MOTIF # 23, 24/25 MINITATS.. ANOTHER 25 MOTIF CHALLENGE FINISHED!

Estos mini motivos son del libro Minitats por Pati Duff. Son 69 tejidos que se pueden realizar con poca cantidad de hilo y son realmente bonitos . Utilice para tejerlos hilo Anchor perle # 8 en color blanco.Pienso que se verian geniales como pequeños copos de nieve para adornar nuestro arbolito de navidad.. ¿que piensan ustedes?

I have used Anchor perle thread # 8 in white. I think they would look great as little snowflakes for our christmas tree ¿what do you think?

Hola amigas! de vuelta nuevamente en el blog! Les queria mostrar el libro que me gane en el sorteo que habia hecho Jon Yusoff hace unos meses en su blog. Es su ultimo libro Elegant Tatting Gems. No habia tenido oportunidad hasta ahora de subir las fotos y de tejer algunos de sus motivos, aprovechando las fiestas venideras de navidad y año nuevo..Son motivos realmente preciosos y faciles de tejer. MOTIF 18/25 .. CANDY CANE SPLIT CHAIN

On georgia´s online class we reviewed split chains.. I couldnt attend the class because Im still having internet problems but I made the class homework.. this candy cane full of...!split chains!! .. such a challenge and practice!

MOTIF 17/25 .. FLOWER BOUQUET

This is another flower tatted from pattern by Takako Kitano.

The thread is dmc perle cotton 8 , in variegated lilac and orange for the flowers, green for the tail and cluny leaves .

The bouquet is wrapped in a mignonette motif, using anchor thread #8 in white. Hope you like it.

Otra florcita tejida de un patron de Takako Kitano. El hilo que use es dmc algodon perle 8 en colores naranja y lila matizado para las flores , verde para las hojitas cluny colgantes e hilo

Anchor perle 8 blanco para el envoltorio del bouquet, en el cual use una tecnica similar al mignonette.

Another tatted motif! The central flower was tatted with dmc perle cotton thread ·8 in variegated lila, from a modificated pattern by Jeanne Luggert, It is an easy flower as is it tatted with only one shuttle!

Otro motivo en frivolite!. La flor central esta tejida con hilo dmc algodon perle 8, en color lila matizado, de un patron modificado de Jeanne Luggert.

Es una florcita facil de hacer y con una sola naveta!!

More bookmarks tatted!... The first one is from Jon Jusoff, a foldover bookmark, in cotton perle # 8 variegated thread orange and the second one is the same pattern, but I didnt tat the foldover part and the thread is a variegated lilac.

The last bookmark was tatted in Camila variegated thread, and dont remember the author `s design as i has taken the picture from the web, so, if somebody knows , please let me know .

Hi again! though i have not been posting for a few months, i have been tatting a lot! Here is a pair of earrings , tatted from a pattern called mimosa, It is from the japanesse book Peikko by Takako Kitano. It is an easy model but elegant at the same time.

I tatted a second version but adding little beads.

I was just testing this cotton thread, new to me. It is Clea, made in Brasil. I like the variegated color it has, though it is a little fluffy.

The middle bookmark is just a clasic round motif with rings and chains , just added a zigzag chain.

Estuve probando un hilo nuevo para mi. Es marca Clea, hecho en Brasil. Tiene lindos colores matizados, aunque me resulto un poco peludito.

Los primeros dos y los ultimos dos marcapaginas son diseños originales de Victats y los patrones los pueden encontrar en los links que puse arriba. En su blog pueden encontrar otros patrones gratis. No dejen de visitar su blog!

El marcador del medio es simplemente un motivo redondo clasico, de anillos y cadenas. al cual le agregue una cadena zigzag.

MOTIF # 3/25 , # 4/25 and # 5/25 playing with wide picot..

As I was preparing my first own pattern to share in the first 2011 georgia online class..I have tatted again , what i called "lochness monster flower"... As you can see , it is a simple round motif with rings and chains.. but in the chain i have included a wide picot, using Dan rusch tecnique, and inside it a floating ring.. The thread here is dmc perle cotton # 8 in pink and lilac. I also added a zigzag chain with a tassel.

Al tiempo que estuve preparando my primer patron para compartirlo en la 1er clase online en ingles de Georgia, volvi a tejer , lo que llame, Flor Monstruo del Lago Ness. Como ven, es un simple motivo redondo de anillos y cadenas, pero en las cadenas inclui un picot ancho, usando la tecnica de Dan rusch para realizar este tipo picots, y dentro del mismo un anillo flotante.

El hilo es dmc algodon perle # 8 en rosa y lila.

Comienzo un nuevo desafio, el tercero , en tejer 25 motivos en frivolite..

Pero primero quiero mostrarles la tarjeta que envie a mi amiga conchi de españa. en el intercambio de navidad del grupo amigas del bolillo. AHi coloque varios de los motivos que ya les mostre que fui tejiendo para estas navidades.

But first i want to show you the xmas postcard that i sent to my spanish friend, conchi. It was a xmas exchange and for this pop-up card i have used the motives that i have been tatting along the past days..

y tambien , entre otros regalitos, le teji este copito de nieve, al cual le agregue perlitas verdes y rojas..

An also, with other gifts, I sent this tatted little snowflake, with red and green beads...

Y aqui les muestro lo ultimo , un brazalete, diseño de Totus Mel, que lo hice para mi hija , asi lo puede estrenar en año nuevo.. Visiten su blog, tiene unos diseños muy originales .. Use hilo Pilar , algodon color rosa, aproximadamente, seria un numero 10.

And her i show you my last work, a slave bracelet, a Totus mel pattern , that i have tatted for my little daughter. so she can used it on new year´s eve. The thread is Pilar, cotton in pink , # 10.

Me gusto tanto esta arañita. que ahora le agregue una perlita en su pancita y la muy picara estuvo merodeando sobre el cestito de carandillo!.. Tambien les muestro otro copito de nieve. hecho en hilo dmc blanco # 8, y un caramelo bastoncito hecho en dos colores. El hilo que use en este ultimo tambien es dmc perle # 8 en blanco y rojo.

Solo me faltan 3 motivos mas para alcanzar mi segundo desafio de 25 motivos tejidos!!

I really liked terry nimer´s spider , that i tat another but added a bead in its body and found her going around my little carandillo basket! what a naughty one!

Back to christmas motives, here is another snowflake , tat in dmc # 8 in white and a candy cane in two colours, red and white, both dmc perle cotton #8...

MOTIF # 18 # 19 and # 20 ... A SPIDER CALLED VIOLET!!

Just more christmas tatted ornaments. For the one in green I used Ambar macrame cotton thread. similar to a #10 and for square motif in variegated yellow, dmc perle cotton thread #8.

And here is Violet the spider ( my dear argentinian friend called Mabel gave her its name! )!! It is a pattern from Terry Nimer, who kindly shared it at Georgia´s last 2010 online tatting class. It was tatted with a thread called Pilar (from Paraguay), similar to a # 20, in lila colour and added beads to the legs.

The tecnique used here is Floating chains using SSSCH tecnique. It sounds scary! like the spider!!.. but i think that with practice everyone can master it and tat a lot of these cute spidersssssss... Here you can find the floating chain method, clearly showed by Jane Eborall.

MOTIF # 16 and # 17 DECORATIVE THIMBLE..and XMAS WREATH..

Here is an easy design of my own.. a decorative thimble... Many lace bobbin makers, use to collect thimbles from any kind of material and made in different tecniques, such as this, a tatted one...

The thead is dmc perle cotton #8 in white...

and a one more xmas ornament.. a red and green wreath.. do you notice the little "berries"?. they are josephine rings and give a cute detail to them... I have used dmc cotton perle 8 in red and green..

Here is a pattern from Nancy Tracy, that you can find on Be stiched website. I used Dmc variegated perle cotton thread nº 8 in green and added some little beads in gold and red colour. I think it is a suitable design to use on a christmas card.

and the other motifs I have tatted , to use on christmas card, are a bell and a little wreath.The thread is dmc nº 8 perle cotton in red .

I have downloaded the pics from the website some time ago.so I dont remember the design author. If someone know them.. please tell me to put it here..

Preparing for Christmas! Motit # 11 and ·#12...

On Nov 15, this pattern was shared by Anne bruvold in the Online Tatting class. The first example is a two color snowflake, where you can practice the SLT (shoe lace trick) to change the colours as the chains and rings are tatted..

you can find the pattern here and have fun tatting it!!

Then, in the Spanish tatting class , Wally gave us a challenge..to tat the same snowflake, but using 3 colours!.. so I took this and also made a little change , adding an extra ring on top of the cloverleaf, using the LTROR ( looped tatted ring on ring). Here is the result....

So this is my return to the 25 motif challenge. hoping I could finish it before the end of the year!

MOTIF # 10 TATTED FAN

This motif is from the book Frivolite a l aguille pas a pas, from Evain Lucette .
Im not a needle tatter by the moment, so I shuttle tat it.
Using split ring, split chain, scmr,inverted picot , this fan was tatted without cutting threads...

The thread used was Coats mercer crochet n 40 in ecru.

MOTIF # 9 WIDE PICOT AND ZIGZAG CHAIN

For my 9th motif I just was playing with the wide picot. also called the Monster or LochNess picot in one Georgia online class.. There are differente ways to tat it. and for this I use Dan Rusch´s technique. You can find the original technique here.

I have added a ring inside this monster picot, to make just a little difference and then , for the stem of this kind of flower, I tat a zigzagchain in two colours..
So I can call this the Lochness ring flower??

I used a variegated lile colour and a pink one , Dmc # 8.

MOTIF # 8 edging finished and another fan..

I have just finished the edging that I showed you in the last post.. I have not decided where to atach it.. to a handkerchief? maybe in a frame ? what do you suggest? I really like it... and also I tat another fan to add to my collection of little fans!

The way I put the edging with the fan inside suggested me to made a frame with them.. but I have to think about it...

MOTIF # 7 April 1st International Tatting Day....

On the International Tatting Day, Georgia Seitz gave us a challenge.It consisted in writting patterns from the book Die Schiffchernarbeit....

and I choosed this one..

and tat this version with beads in the outer row...

The center has onion rings and to jump to the last row, I used a split chain and a split ring, because I dont like to cut threads if I can avoid it!

I have used Coats mercer crochet # 40 for this version.

MOTIF # 6 in honour to Mary Konior

I haven´t post nothing since a few months... So I will continue my second motif challenge, making honour to a great tatter, Mary Konior.
I just begin an edging from her book TATTING WITH VISUAL PATTERNS, called Maids of honour.. It looks like little fans chained together,, and makes a delicate edging to decorate something special... I m using Coats # 40, finer thread that im used to tat with.. but very convenient for this tatting..

.. and I used the corner to tat this little fan.... I love it!!!

In future posts Ill be showing other motifs that Ill be doing during these past months....

MOTIF # 5

Searching for an easy xmas wreath I found one by Ruth Perry, a celtic wreath . Though the word "celtic" sometimes scare us , its really easy to make.

My first attempt was this one, without beads...

and then , when I was sure with the ds count (i was using # 8 perle cotton thread) I added beads to the chains and the rings...

I have tatted this candle for a postcard xmas exchange we have in a bobbin lace group. I download this image from the web, but don´t remember the author. I like the colours combination and the effect of the half wreath in the bottom.

And also I sent my partner this lovely snowflake in white, tatted from the book TATTED SNOWFLAKES by Vida Sunderman.

This book have a lot of nice snowflakes to tat for next xmas celebration.

In both cases I used dmc pearl cotton # 8.

I haven´t blogged for a long time since march!! but im back again here....

I was tatting some christmas motifs and the one I ll show you now is the penultimate Ellen lai pattern of the year.. a cute snowflake clipboomark one!

Here you have mutiple picots, rings, chains and a swirl join to conect the 5 center picots.

It´s a cute gift we can include in our xmas presents.. don´t you think so?

New second motif challenge!! Motif ·# 1

I have joined the Sharon´s design group at yahoo. Im exciting with it , because I think that all of us wish to make our own designs. Its difficult for me this subject, because we look at so much patterns, that at last , if we decided to tat something of our own, we finished doing something that was just tatted by another!

I believe it carries out so much practice until we are able to design something original but i think the result will be wonderful at last.

As part of the lesson 3, that was taking a basic centre motif, we had to add a second round.... and this was my first try...

First I tatted the centre that is a simple round motif with rings and chains. To jump to the second round I have to use a split chain, then a split ring and continue with chains that has throw off ring on it. The negative space suggests a four clover leaf... very interesting!

Its a really design challenge for me...

MOTIF # 24 Y #25... END OF MY FIRST 25 MOTIF CHALLENGE!!

Well, I cant believe it!! but at last I finished my first 25 motif challenge. So a goal for me!!

The two motif are from Georgia s classes on line, the pattern of the month, by Ellen Lai. This is march pattern, a four clover leaf, where it is used Dimpled rings.

It has two versions: one is a bookmark, where the top is the four clover leaf, with dimple rings in the inside and chains in the outside. Then the tail is a joshephine knot chain, with some alternate dimple rings...

An the other motif is the same clover leaf on a paper clip. I think both design are really cute!!!

I had so much fun in this challenge and it let me learned more tecniques, more tatters with theirs wonderful works and now im expecting for my second 25 motif challenge!!!!

Motif ·# 22 and # 23

This motif is part of our spanish january challenge: making our own design. It was a really interesting challenge for me, cause its more easy for me to copy models from tatters more expert. They have great tattings, and Im consider myself a begginer in this lovely craft. But I took it, and start looking at one model that I had begun a year ago,.....

but I left aside for some reason....

I noticed my mistake was the number of picots in the center, so I take it up again, and here it is.. my brownie_one (can be a name for it?)

The center is made of large picots , that are joined by the rings of the second round, (notice the picots are crossed). and the third rounds is full of split rings, with picots. I have to write the pattern,so exciting because it would be my second own design!

An the second motif, pinky_one...

.. the same center and second round, but I change the third round, with large picots, rings, and chains.

In the same class were we saw the microdragon, there was a pattern surprise!!. From now on , on Georgia site, she will put a pattern each month.

Motif # 17.. microdragon

Last monday, on georgia´s classes we reviewed SSSR technique, single shuttle split ring, very new for me and she came with a very cute example to tat, a microdragon form Anne Bruvold.

Here is mine, with some rebel picots!! It begin with a normal ring, at the tail, then sssr along its body. I think I could tat a lot of it, cause they are so cute!!!

Well, as most of you know, Georgia´s classes on line have just began, and I was very anxious about it , to begin the year learning more about tecniques.

The first class was about overcrocheted picot and interlaced picots and this was my result in this new challenge,

... these kind of flowers.. pansy may be? using interlaced picots, in both cases. Just added three little green rings on the center , to give a good look to them.

I like this idea to make more clasp (do you call clasp , that is used on the hair, like the pink one? .. . . im leak on english words...)

Motif # 14

I go on finishing some projects I had left aside , so this bookmark is one of them.I´ve only the green part tatted, the long chain with a lot of picots in it. I saw it in some place , surfing the web, but I dont remember whose is it. If someone can tell me , I put the name here.

So looking at the picture, I take note of the number of stiches and did my tat.

The little flowers make a good combination....

Motif # 12 and # 13.. bookmarks

I was involved in some loom weaving,(you can visit my other blog www.rinconartes.blogspot.com in spanish) so thats the reason I had not posted any tatting. But now Im back here and was inspired by Teri´s tatting in my bookmarks shown below.

I was making some proofs, because i dint have the pattern of this floral bookmark ,(part of it is in the photo shown above, in green and pink) to know how many stiches I had to tat, using dmc nº 8 and the result is on this brown bookmark, where I repeated the same motif twice. Rings, split rings picots,

And this is from another pattern by Teri dusenbury. I used rings,split rings, Smcr in the flower, chains. The original has tree motifs, but I did two..

So these will be my motifs #12 and # 13 for this challenge.

MOTIF # 11

Its going slowly my 25motif challenge , but go on with it , so I was looking for a simple pattern I could tat in a short time and found this cute tree by Ellen Lai. I really like it .

My problem with it was my choice of the thread , cause at last I tat with a green dmc perle #8 and the pattern was made with a thicker thread, and , as I didnt modify the number of ds, picots size... in some parts of the tatting I get in trouble, so tiny spaces to tat and the tecniques: split chain , split rings

but i like the result..

I ll try to tat it with a thread ·20 , it will look better and easy to make!!

Hi again, I have not posted in this month. So busy for me!!

I was envolved in some sewing because my other favourite craft is country crafts and this year decided to make another Christmas wreath. It is said we have to add a new ornament every year, so this was my new one...

but I want to begin with my sincere greetings for this holidays!! HAPPY HOLYDAYS FOR ALL!! I must to be grateful to all the person who take its time to visit this blog and leave a comment, that really make me happy. It encourage me to go on doing the things I like and learn more day by day..

Georgia's classes on line begin again!!!! and this is the project of the second class, a bookmarkby Eliz Davis - This bookmark uses multiples shuttles, multiple colors, rings, chain, split rings, scmr.... wow.. what a training!!

Back side and front side of the bookmark. A really lovely motif!

I used thread Omega n 10, variegated orange, and Dmc traditions n 10, color blue and yellow.

After a few weeks, here im again. I had an alergy in my eye , so I couldnt do almost nothing, but now , Im returning with some tatted works. It was such a problem cause I dont use glasses,but contact lens, so, It was impossible to tat nothing!! and either couldnt use the pc,.. so..... I got a little crazy!!! jajaj.....

Let me show you the things I was tatting.....

As i told you , im taking wally'spanish online classes, and we reviewed the Daisy Picot tecnique, so I looked for this pattern, from Jane Eborall, just lovely butterflies. These were a good example to practice this tatting method...

The other motif is from Wally' page , a beautiful daisy, tatted with the same tecnique. The only thing I couldnt manage were the picots!! they are so rebel!!! jaaja,

To make the stem and the leaves, i used the encapsulated tecnique, cause at this point i have several threads to hide! ¿what do you think of these flowers??

So these will be my new motifs for this 25 challenge..

I took this pattern from Aunt Ellen book, it s a clover leaf, tatted with the onion ring technique.I used dmc perle cotton thread, # 8,variegated green, and as it was a little motif,

I added a "tail" so it can be use as a bookmark.

Im not used to make my own designs, but this time I tried to make a leaf, using only a shuttle, not looking at any pattern and this is my result, a tiny leaf , only rings.Its a beginning! I like the result , so I tatted one more and added a little flower with multipicots. I think this could be my motif #6, a little bunch with leaves and flower.

Ill keep on tatting flowers, but this time I decided to make a bookmark, so I took a pattern from the book Aunt Ellen tatting handbook, to make the leaf and then I added a tail , using the josephine knot . The center of the flower is a ring, with tiny rings, worked in josephine knot, tatting the first half of the double stitch

This is a pattern from Lisa Trumble (you can find the pattern here.....http://www.thisntat.com/motifs/roseleaf.html) I had a problem in one of the leafs, because I distracted and I joined to the wrong picot , but I thought it wasnt a big problem, so this will be my motif # 4.....Ill keep on collecting more flowers and leaves....

Well , here again , with flowers again.....Ilike spring!! I found this pattern searching for flowers for our monthly spanish challenge (flowers, leaves, trees...) in Eliz Davis blogspot and decided to tat it.

She called these Dancing flowers, and I really think they are dancing!!

Split chains.... what a job it was for me! We saw in our class a pattern from Katia Vallee, a beautiful fan, full of split chains! so, when I finished it, I tried to transform this fan in butterfly wings, changing the lenght of the chains. An the result is the photo above. I know there is a long way in learning how to design my own motifs but I m happy with this one!!

In the last on line spanish class we reviewed the tecnique of multi picots. We used the diagrams of Mark Myers, very clear ,and with the help of Wally it was easy to learn it at last. So I decided to tat some simple flowers to practice, and I think this will be my first motif in this challenge. Here in Argentina, spring has just arrived, so this is my modest tribute to this beautiful season.

My first entry..introducing myself

Well, this will be my first entry in this blog. I like to do many different crafts, such as tatting, bobbin lace making, basketmaking, aboriginal loom ,... selftaught in most of them.

But this will be dedicated to tatting-frivolite. I decided to have one here because, first of all, i like tatting and i would like to join the 25motif challenge too. I think its a great idea to get practice

and to learn new tecniques, too, and

the most important , meet people from other countries who shares the same interests.

My native language is spanish, not english, so I hope I get by very well in this one.

I have joined the ning group Frivolite en español, owned by Wally Sosa, a great person, and really a good teacher!!, and most recently the etatters group in ning too., a fantastic group , too.

Another interest challenge that catch my attention is the TYAs, but I think Ill need a 50 hourday to do all I want!!.......

I end this first entry with some photos of my first challenge in the spanish group, learn and improve my celtic tatting( pattern from Rozella Linden book, a master in this tecnique!!.....)...
